Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in the US for over forty years. She is most famous for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). The actress began her career as a stage performer in the 1950s beginning in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage artist in several Broadway plays before breaking through into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner's performance in the year 1957. The singer also released her debut music album It's Time for Tina in the same year. Louise began with her Hollywood career in the year 1958 as she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a film that was dramatic. The film was a massive hit and Louise earned an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. In this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. Her next role that she played was Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her with in 1964. Louise kept juggling her acting career in between Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in more realistic characters as in contrast to her portrayal of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Recently she's also been a popular director for well-known television shows like Supernatural and The 100. Her family relocated to Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver, Canada after her selection for the lead role.
