Ina-Garten

Ina Gardner is author of a number of well-known American cooking books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network, which has been running since 2002. Ina started her career writing nuclear energy policies and budgets to the White House. While she found it to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she lost her interest in it and bought a tiny specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. Her store was extremely successful over the course of 18 years until she decided to let it go. She then began her first cookbook. There were many more cookbooks as well as magazine columns which were added. Her Food Network television program also debuted and quickly became popular. She sells many products, from ingredients for cooking, to kitchenware and storage. Ina has never attended any cooking institute and hasn't had any experience in a restaurant. Ina is completely self-taught. Her name is known for her effortless approach to entertainment and simple food preparation. Her most well-known dishes include Skillet with roasted lemon chicken and Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon. Balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Bars and Mac and Cheese.
